Frank Stevens began roofing in Central Valley, New York in 1960 at the age of 18 for Jones Brothers, a roofing and plumbing company started in the late 1800s. In 1973, he opened Frank Stevens Roofing and went on to incorporate in 1999 as Frank Stevens & Sons Roofing, Inc. We are family-owned and operated specializing in the replacement, repair, restoration and maintenance of commercial, industrial, institutional and residential roofing systems on low-slope and steep slope roofs, including built-up hot tar systems, single-ply membranes (EPDM Rubber, TPO & PVC), asphalt shingles, real and imitation slate, cedar shake shingles and metal roofing (standing seam panel and metal shingles).

We have a fully operational sheet metal shop and the ability to custom fabricate components for any job. We have achieved GAF MasterElite Contractor status and are trained certified installers of Johns Manville, Carlisle SynTec, Firestone, Duro-Last and Tremco commercial roofing products. Our certifications allow us to offer the best warranties in the industry.

In our 40+ years in business we have completed numerous public and private projects ranging from schools, medical centers, correctional facilities, town halls, museums, libraries, airport hangars, military structures, retail stores, factories, warehouses, nursing homes, senior centers, sewer plants, architect's offices, places of worship, banks, firehouses, and of course residences- big and small. Our vast experience has made us exceptional at diagnosing and eliminating roof leaks. We've had long-standing maintenance contracts with several school districts and counties. We take genuine pride in our work and stand behind it, with a commitment to honesty, quality and safety. We are bonded and insured by an A+ rated insurance policy to perform commercial and residential roofing.

Chris Stevens heads our commercial roofing division and Jim McCormick (Frank's son-in-law), heads our residential. Chris has over 35 years' and Jim over 25 years' experience with extensive knowledge of every type of roof system gained from having been installers themselves for decades.  We have been able to maintain our business since 1973 through our quality control which starts with having people with genuine roofing experience evaluate, analyze and estimate jobs. When you ask us for an estimate, either Chris or Jim will be the ones to do it, giving you the best possible recommendations for your particular situation which only their kind of comprehensive knowledge, gained through real experience, allows them to do. We will never employ salesman, those types who would gladly sell customers a toaster oven and more if they could. Our commitment to quality control continues with  having excellent mechanics and being hands-on by physically overseeing that every job is done correctly from start to finish. Having Chris and Jim involved in the work from estimating to completion in the field, just as Frank Stevens did from the beginning of the business, certainly hasn't made our lives easy by any means but it has proved to be a winning formula for continued success and customer satisfaction during all of these years.
